It was our visit to Regina Mundi's Holy Family Home for the Elderly. Corp members of the Health CDS were told to get ready for 10 a.m, With gifts, smiles and enthusiasm, corpers gathered together at the odi-olowo LCDA to wait until all members are around. After they were complete, they set out on their journey.
According to Corper Mary Abiodun, "We were treated with a warm welcome and the old people came around to have their seats and spend time with us. They were introduced to us one after the other and as each person was introduced, each also gave out words of prayers and/or advice to us, We got to know how well they worked and what they achieved while they where younger. It was full of many story because many had to go down the Memory Lane to bring out their life history"
At the end of it all, the CDS president in the person of Olawale Shotuyo and CDS secretary came up to speak on behalf of all the Health CDS members and in their speeches, they talked about how delighted and happy we were to be around for the visit and prayed that God spare the lives of the old people because they are an inspiration to us.
The old people sang and danced (it was a beautiful sight to behold). Gifts were then donated. The Home for the Elderly gave the CDS group a christmas card as a sign of appreciation. Pictures were taken and the old people also prayed for us. See more photos after the cut.
