Tuface Finally opens up on his February 5th protest (Read more)

Popular singer, 2face Idibia, has reiterated the need for Nigerians of all tribes and religion to come together and speak out against the inefficiency of the government of the day.
The singer, who addressed Nigerians in a live Facebook video monitored by Naijaloaded said that the planned protest would go on as planned as he warned that the movement was not one for any politician to manipulate.

Explaining what the protest was all about, he said, “Hello my fellow Nigerians, since the idea of a nationwide march was first mentioned, the need for urgent solutions to the challenges facing Nigerians has become very clear. The people have hoped for a better Nigeria since before 1999 but things are not getting any better for the majority. We are still where we are, poor and desperate! I would no longer be quiet. I’m just a musician with a point of view and the ears of my fans.

“This march is about demanding that our leaders connect with all the people of Nigeria. This march is about demanding that all saboteurs of good government policies should hands off. We have a system that is clearly designed not to work for the majority.

“What is this march not about?

“It is not a platform for politicians to manipulate. I know you will still spin it but for one second, leave all that side and listen to people without trying to score cheap political points against one another.

“It is not a point-scoring exercise, it is really not personal and it is not an organised labour platform with much respect to our comrades who have done much. It is not religious or tribal, all our blood is red, all of us dey bleed, all of us dey feel the pain.”
The protest will hold at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos by 8am according to the singer.
